Life is in the moments in between.

It is in the moments in between people, when we all risk showing who we are and let others through our walls. It is in the moments in between the big events, in all the little days that pass our time before the next. It is in between the masks we think we have to wear to protect ourselves or hide ourselves, and the fear we often feel when we take the masks off and let someone see who we really are.

One of my favorite memories will always be watching the sun rise across the dusty playa at Burning Man.

I dream one day of owning my own coffee shop and board game cafe.

My hobbies are connecting with people, modern board games, watching television and movies (far too much of, in these pandemicky times), and reading. I love museums, art in every form, great food, and people who are brave enough to be truly genuine. Being honest about what we think and who we are, in moments of both strength and weakness, is one of the greatest challenges we all face. It‘s also where we find the richest treasures in life, and let ourselves truly connect with the joy that surrounds us.

My passion is personal growth. I strive to be better every day. To examine my thoughts in order to strip away the lies I tell myself and see clearly. To know where I need to focus my attention to be more than I was before. I delight in finding others who feel the same.

I know some find me too intense, and I know that it has limited my opportunities for ongoing friendships. But I also know that the ones I've found are the better and deeper than they could be otherwise. I'm content with that trade-off.

My mind is quick and my wit is quicker, and I adore others who share these traits. The world is full of so much to learn and experience, and there's few topics that I don't find interesting. I'm the kind of person who does a wiki deepdive when I realize I don't know the answer to a question that comes up, wanting to learn even more than the answer would have demanded.

I am a proud father, whose children are all grown and have left the home.
